The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.

Mark Nathanson, DPM
DPM at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine

Dr. Nathanson, a Bergen county native, graduated from Dumont High School. He went on to receive a BA from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio from the college of Arts and Sciences. His graduate studies continued at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, where he was president of his class for four years, and where he received his DPM (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine). His medical residency work was done through the Kennedy Memorial Hospital system in Cherry Hill, NJ, Washington Township, NJ, and Stratford township, NJ. Dr. Nathanson did both a medical residency rotation followed by a surgical residency rotation where he was extensively trained in both forefoot and rearfoot surgery. The last year of his residency he was named co-chief resident.

Dr. Nathanson started the North Jersey Foot and Ankle Center in 1993, and he has worked diligently since then to establish a solid reputation for professionalism and caring in the Bergen county community. His affiliations have included the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Community Resource Council of Bergen County, and the American Council of Certified Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Nathanson has received the Carl Bergmann Award for excellence in orthopedics as well as the OPMSA award for distinguished service.  In addition, he is a frequent participant in local health fairs and screenings.

Dr. Nathanson resides in Bergen County with his wife Emma, son Sam, and of course, their dog and cats.

 

John J. Doolan, DPM
DPM at N.Y. College of Podiatric Medicine

Dr. Doolan attended undergraduate school at Binghamton University, in New York, where he received a Bachelors of Science in Biology. He went on to graduate with a DPM from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine, followed by 5 years of residency training, finished at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn.

Dr. Doolan is extensively trained in reconstructive foot surgery, including arthroscopic, endoscopic, and external fixation techniques.

Dr. Doolan is currently on Staff at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck and Associated Surgeons of Northern New Jersey in Engelwood, and Gramercy Park Surgery Center where he is the Clinical Podiatric Supervisor and onsite residency director. He also practices at the Cabrini Wound Healing Center, a multi-specialty facility dedicated to wound healing and limb salvage.

Dr. Doolan is board certified in foot surgery, by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS). Dr. Doolan is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association. In addition, he serves on the executive Board of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Doolan actively supports charity work through regular participation in medical missions. Since 2002, he has performed hundreds of surgeries and medical consultations for the impoverished people of the Philippines. Below are some pictures from the most recent medical mission.

 


     

 

 

Adam Cirlincione, DPM
Dr. Adam Cirlincione completed his undergraduate studies at Binghamton University in New York. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at The New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he was one of the top students in his class earning high honors.  Dr. Cirlincione then completed one year of Primary Podiatric residency training at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens and then on to the highly regarded Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh for three years of intensive surgical training in all aspects of foot, ankle, and lower leg surgery. While at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital he was chief resident and was a student of some of the most highly regarded foot and ankle surgeons in the country.   To complete his training Dr. Cirlincione spent time with multiple orthopedic foot and ankle surgeons in Europe prior to going into private practice.

Dr. Cirlincione is currently Board Certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He routinely lectures to residents and fellow podiatrists and is the author of numerous published articles. His interests include reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and trauma of the foot and ankle. Dr. Cirlincione now practices in Glen Cove & Bay Ridge, NY and most recently Teaneck, New Jersey.
